Winning the final test against Sri Lanka in CCI Mumbai, India finally achieved the highly coveted and much anticipated number 1 ranking in test match cricket.
Although almost all members in this legendary super strong India team have repeatedly stated that it was a team effort, which player do you think contributed the most in this exemplary feat????
What according to you was the turning point which led this bunch of players to believe in themselves and become the number 1 team in the world???
I personally believe it was the dynamic, unorthodox and of course cool style for MSD’s captaincy which changed the course of Indian test and one day cricket alike!!!

Hi all
We are moving towards a green school.
Ideas any??
Moving candor overwhelming quintessence portrayal superb amazing
“Paa”, the overjoying and moving innocence with which this word is 0ccured leaves the viewer brimming with overwhelming admiration for the movie. The plot exudes extraordinary simplicity which is actually the essencece of the movie. the story revoles around ‘Auro’, a child of twelve with Progeria, a very rare andd severe genetic condition a child is born with, and in which he ages about 5 times faster than his age. Auro is just like any other child of his age who loves school, has many good friends and hates anyone else reading his email, ‘bad manners’- as he terms it. He lives with his loving mom and his ‘Bum”, which is what he calls his grandmother. What’s extraordinary about him is his powerful simplicity and how he brings back his parents, estranged by destiny long ago. Vidya Balan’s portrayal of Vidya, a succesful and independent single mother, who loves her child with all her heart and soul is splendid. Abhishek Bachchan, as the ambitious and dynamic MP, Amol Arte, with the heart of a loving father which is later unveiled and discovered is convincing.
But as expected, what steals the show, is Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Auro’, and how! The legend has once again proved why he’s called so and that he’s still the reigning king of Indian Cinema. his portrayal of the character is innocent, candid, power-packed and extremely touching.
This movie is most definitely a must watch. Go for it for its prevailing simplicity, its calmness and serenity and the marvelous impact it leaves on you the moment you watch this heatrending drama conclude.
Cheers!

Innovative is the way to be!!!
After attending two science fairs in the past month, I’ve actually realized and started appreciating the need for bringing up new ideas of the young population of our country. The kind of talent displayed at the IRIS national science fair and IGNITE 09 was extraordinary and made me feel proud to live in a country with such flair. People of all ages right from bright and enthusiastic school children to farmers in remote parts of the nation, driven by necessity and an aspiration to make life easier, came up with all sorts of astounding inventions that reflected simplicity, intelligence and extensive and miraculous research. There were utility ideas that if put use at a larger scale, would make life way simpler and make the nation a better place to live in. But, without a doubt, what actually influenced me was the astonishing aptitude that of farmers and workers from remote areas of the country, that are probably not equipped even with the most basic facilities for education. These talents were given a platform at IGNITE 09 and notable innovations were felicitated by none other than Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who instilled aspiration and ambition into the audience that got the opportunity of listening to his impressively simple but equally powerful and influential words.
As truly said by him, one should always be curious about even the simplest and the most usual things in life and work hard towards coming up with one’s individual ideas and persevere till one achieves what one aims for.
Curiosity, ambition, hard work and perseverance is what drove these prodigious minds to strive to innovate and these are exactly the things that can lead anyone of us to success
Big bucks for IIT grads.
Over the years, IITs have become a temple of education for numerous Indian students. This is basically due to the high salaries offered by top Indian Multinationals to the graduates. Recently, in IIT- Bombay and IIT-Delhi, graduates were offered jobs in companies such as HUL(Hindustan Uni Lever) & L&T(Larsen & Toubro). The salaries ranged from as high as 3 lakhs per annum to 34 lakhs per annum. This result has drawn many more students towards IITs and various other engineering colleges such as Delhi University and BITS-Pilani which is a positive sign which shows that we are leaving the era of recession far behind.
The latest rage in school
Laptops have been a means of education in schools today and are widely used by students. However, sometimes they can turn into means of entertainment. The new game that is going around nowadays is ZATACKA. The game is very simple and is designed in C++ . It can be played by 2-6 players where one has to control a sort of ‘line’ which one has to manipulate in order to prevent it from colliding into walls and into the ‘lines’ of other players. It is a very addicting game which has really hooked the students of DPS. Interested any? Why not correspond? So everybody just go ahead and ……ZATACKA!!
Stones- the Glitter and the Glamour
Who doesn’t love a little sparkle on the self? From a small fake diamond or an extremely catchy glitzy emerald, stones are what add a load of glamour to a piece of jewelry. Rings, neck pieces, anklets and bracelets, you name them and a jewelry designer has some amount of stones in it!
Ranging from Victorian jewelry to modern day simple yet extra delicate designs, stones have added sheen and beauty and continue to do so in the present times. Attracting eyeballs and evoking envy, that’s the loveliest part of stones.
Emerald-cut diamonds, blue heart shaped diamonds, emeralds, rubies, blue sapphires or a Volvo diamond, which has a shape as complicated as a spider web yet subtle as wine that it keeps you pondering over the way in which it was made to the other semi-precious stones, there are numerous varieties of stones which if known, will bamboozle you on which to choose for your next piece of jewelry (ladies pay attention!)!
Be it numerology or plain vanity, boy, stones are popular! I mean who hasn’t seen Amitabh Bachchan’s fingers or even Bappi Da endorsing numerology or for that matter our dear tinsel-town ladies displaying their assorted chunks of jewelry parading a glam collection of enticing stones at various award functions and parties?
Stones don’t add magnificence to the outside piece; they help in instilling a greater sense of confidence of the self, a feeling of pride and feeling of beauty which is very dear to the human ego
So if you think you have more on stones and their alluring charm, bring it on!
A MUST READ!!
Book Review: Mistress of the game
Tilly Bagshawe continues one of Sidney Sheldon’s most famous and popular Novels’ “The Master of the Game” and clearly manages to satisfy its massive fan base in the best possible way. The story revolves around Alexandra a.k.a Lexi Templeton, the great grand daughter of the dynamic and powerful Kate Blackwell, Lexi’s elder brother Robert a.k.a Robbie Templeton and her cousin Max Webster/Blackwell, son of the revengeful and evil Eve Blackwell who is also the grand daughter of Kate Blackwell, who in turn dis-inherited Eve as she wanted to kill her sister Alexandra (Mother of Lexi and Robert).
Robbie Templeton decides to pursue a career in music, hence refusing to take over chairmanship of the multi billion dollar company Kruger Brent Ltd, also the biggest and most powerful in the world..
Max grows up believing that he is destined to take revenge and give back Kruger Brent Ltd to his beloved mother Eve. With Robert out of the way, only Lexi stands between Max and Kruger Brent Ltd.
Mistress of the game is a story of the battle for Kruger Brent Ltd fought by two Harvard Graduates in whose veins runs the blood of the power hungry Kate Blackwell who turned Jamie McGregor’s dream into reality. It’s a story about murder, aggression, betrayal, passion and most of all Power, much like its prequel Master of the Game. It is an extremely engaging novel in which the author quiet literally plays with the emotions of reader.
These qualities make Mistress of the Game a thrill ride which one will never forget.
5 on 5 from my side!!!!!
Comments, criticism welcome!!!!
agreed…5/5
Thankyou mam!!!!
Someone who truly appretiates the might of Sheldon’s pen can truly rate him as you did!!!
unlike any ambitious parent I’ve been keeping a track of all the A&B Management & Design institutes. the trend which I have observed for the last 3-4 yrs is that students have become masters of their own destiny literally throwing away their lucrative offers and starting their own ventures.Children should be given the freedom to choose the path they wish to tread on.
French fries
It’s a tummy retreat
to have some French fries.
Some like it salted
Some like it with spice
Some like it golden
Some like it yellow
And if you’ve not had it ever
You’re a poor fellow
-Anish
Who doesn’t like French fries? They are mere potatoes deep fried and salted. It is called differently in different parts of the world like chips, fries, French fried potatoes, steak fries, wedges, etc. French fries are originally from western Europe. In French frier means deep frying. It was first served at the white house and the dish was pommes de terre frites.
All of us know that the best place to catch up with some French fries is Mac-D. At least I like it there!!!!
Fries can compliment with a lot of things like fish and chips, chilly cheese, and I think apn sab ka favourite a glass of pepsi.
But as every thing is a package of good and bad things French fries have a large amount of fat Coz of witch the cholesterol increases and u know what happens next don’t you? I know many among us are health conscious!!

Nuclear Nexus
The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is the benchmark for preventing any type of nuclear arms activity in the world. The Treaty, which was first signed by 92 countries in 1954, has gradually lost its influence. Presently, 4 countries have not signed this Treaty, including India, Pakistan, North Korea and Israel. The signatory countries are divided into two different categories – Nuclear Weapon States (NWS) and Non-Nuclear Weapon States (Non-NWS). The first category of countries have some special ‘privileges’ wherein they are allowed to test nuclear weapons but not allowed to trade in nuclear arms and power with Non-NWS.
However, of recent, certain countries have started bending the badly framed policies of the Treaty. USA and Russia have started underground testing, while certain rogue states, have tested their nuclear weapons, against the policies of the Treaty. The non-signatory states have also been involved in nuclear testing.
India had, till recent, not even thought of signing the NPT. Yet, under all circumstances,
India has always been of the opinion that there should be complete nuclear disarmament. In fact, except for a few NWS, a large number of countries have also advocated this policy. Two new Treaties, the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) and the Fissile Material Cutoff Treaty (FMCT) have included these policies in their resolutions. In fact, USA is very apprehensive of signing these Treaties. At the same time, a very recent phenomenon has been Dr. Manmohan Singh’s reckoning that India would sign the NPT, considering that certain conditions are fulfilled. However, according to me, this is preposterous as this will contradict the basic policy that India has advocated since Independence.
While, I believe, that these two new treaties provide the correct path to complete nuclear disarmament, influential countries like Japan having endorsed it, the way things are going, one can expect at least at a decade before which all the countries will be united on this policy.
Imagine the delicious aroma of your favorite dish rising in the air, the sweet fragrance of your favorite perfume embracing your olfactory glands, or how you love relishing the serene scents of nature when you go for a walk or simply go out and take in the variety of smells this world has to offer…what if you suddenly lose your sense of smell and can’t take in any of this? I bet that the idea sounds as drastic as it could get!
But, in reality, there can be a medical condition, a very rare one, in which a person loses his sense because of damage done to the nose. A recent case of a young American can be used to illustrate this condition. Having being hit by a school bully in school, this man suffered injury to the internal parts of his nose and subsequently lost his sense of smell, being able to smell absolutely nothing. After ignoring this disability for a large part of his life, he finally decided to go for surgery in his early twenties, as he started realizing what he was missing when he saw the world around him savor the fragrance of fresh flowers or wince at smelling something obnoxious. After the success of his surgery, he was surprised at the entirely new world he knew but had forgotten. “I never knew a chicken and mayo sandwich tasted so good!”, he exclaims now.
Most of us don’t appreciate this great gift of God, the power to smell, to smell the fresh grass and value the marvelous creations of nature, or to rejoice and appreciate the incredible phenomenon of how remembering the smell of something helps our memory.
So the next time you walk in your room, enter your busy office or simply do something as simple or regular as grocery shopping, take some time to waft the marvelous assortment of olfactory satisfaction all around you.
Unlike any ambitious parent I’ve been keeping a track of all the A and B Management and Design institutes. The trend which i have observed for the last 3-4 years is that the students have become master of their own destiny literally , declining lucrative offers and starting their own venture . MOBILE FREAKS BEWARE!!!!!
Nowadays, people use their mobiles to download the latest songs, videos and even games. Numerous number of people use mobile phones facility. But many a times they are duped by the telephone companies. Telephone companies post advertisements to download various games, songs etc. But when people start downloading these things of entertainment they are charged for them and on top of it they do not even receive the facility. People are duped of their money when they are tempted to download these things. When they report this to the telephone companies, they deny them of offering them any such facility. This is growing into a major concern among people nowadays. Therefore I urge people not to take any hasty decisions in downloading these stuffs as it might be you who would face a situation of “doing in haste and repenting at leisure”.
Brand consciousness: a boon or a bane
Nowadays everywhere we go, every shopping mall, every market place, we see many familiar names and brands staring at us from billboards like Nike, Wrangler, flying machine, Reebok, etc. Nowadays the youth are attracted naturally towards famous brand names in order to look ‘cool’, to wear the ‘in’ thing in fashion. Now the question is up to our generation only, whether what we are doing, is it a boon or a bane?
Brand consciousness up to a certain limit is all right as we are all humans and would like to show off to our friends. However, if we get into the trap of buying every new thing that comes to the market. We need to realize that by doing this we are just wasting our parent’s hard-earned money. Therefore I personally urge people, that if you want to buy expensive brands please don’t overdo it or you will only be wrecking your own life.
Couldn’t have agreed with you more Aniruddha
Nagging parents, ever screaming teachers, counter strike, the fight for the T.V. remote…
What’s common in all these? It’s the sense of ‘control’.
Control, that we want to exercise on our juniors, subordinates, students, lesser abled, others around us and our own lives.
Why does it happen?
The moment we start developing our physical and mental powers, we start experiencing and understanding the world around us. But ironically, we also realise that outside our comfortable cocoon, the world is not that simple.
Life is tough and we aren’t. And the fight begins- the urge to control, to be satiated, to camouflage our weaknesses by making others weak. We hit where it hurts.
Is that normal?
No. People who don’t trust their own selves, will never trust others. One who is not in love with his own life will never love others. When we realise that we don’t have the will power to control our own destiny, we try to exercise control on others.
In classroom
As an educator, I would specifically take up a classroom situation. Dear colleagues, if “shut up!”, “be quiet!’ and “get out!” are the windows, the windows which pop up the moment you switch on, you need to format yourself, seriously.
Comments are welcome!!!!!
Such restraints! Your writing should be you, not one of the roles you have to play… I’d love more of the ‘you’ writings

Expectations: nasty, aren’t they?
A common word that’s making the lives of millions of people around the globe run is, “EXPECTATIONS”. We are told thousands of times not to keep any of them, so that we may not be hurt when they are shattered by the hands of a person or fate. But how many times do we succeed in doing that? Ha-ha, it’s amusing how we preach to our known ones to keep away from them, and here too, we secretly ‘expect’ them to heed to our advice because we are aware this will benefit them in the long run!
Friends expect loyalty, faith, warmth, attention, understanding and so on from each other, not consciously though but we all know we demand these from each other, right? Added to the above lovers expect a little more out of each other like (ahem) sexual gratification, companionship, spending time together etc. Parents (usually) expect their children to grow up and earn not only a name for themselves, but respect and a dignified character in the society. For that, they spend money, time, efforts and everything else that they suspect would do good for the best upbringing of their children (although in different forms, we all face their insecurities too, don’t we?). When we put in efforts to reach our goals, after a period of time, we tend to expect things to go well only because we think we have put enough time or work. When we convey our feelings to someone we consider special (intimately, to be specific) to our lives, somewhere deep down we expect them to reciprocate it and tend to be tetchy when this doesn’t happen, even though later our near and dear ones console us by saying that ‘it’s okay, probably they weren’t apt for you’ or a fatalist may say ‘Probably you two weren’t destined to be together or that s/he is unlucky to have lost you’.
Another honest example would how I’m expecting views and comments from my readers after I publish this, ha-ha! The so-called religious propagators put in their maximum time and labour so that theirs might be the most practiced and talked about religion. Our politicians hope that the citizens believe in their goals or rather false dreams that they depict and show us in their election manifestos and again, expect, no, they don’t expect rather they snatch away our votes by making a fool out of the poor and illiterate of our dear India simply because the educated and earning folks are too busy to take time out of their oh-so-busy schedules! We as people are tuned to being subjects to a ruler and not citizens of a democratic institution and always expect things to work out sooner or later by taking zero pains.
The thing that amazes me is that sooner or later, we stop cursing the person or fate or God or whatever and win over our conscience to believe in and continue to keep expectations, now from somebody else in turn going into that circle again to get our hearts broken for yet another time! That’s the reason why I like the quote “It’s funny how many times the heart has to be broken so that the years can make it wise.”
We, as humans, expect so much from life, devaluing what we already have to such an extent that an adverse step has to be taken so that our drooling eyes are opened. We expect the best of food, clothes, company (as in friends), career advancement, family, health and almost everything present under the Sun! First, we enjoy the ride that leads us to these and then later on, we start taking things for granted and feel too complacent to realize that the only thing constant is change! We start becoming oblivious to the small hints life gives us, notifying us of the bigger change that has already arrived at our doorstep and is waiting to knock it! We feel start feeling entitled to things, and that’s where we start creating stagnancy in our lives. Of all the things we expect, the least or maybe not expected thing is change!!! Ha-ha
Wake up, smile, and embrace the change life is offering you!
Solitude
What happens when you know you seem to be losing total control over your life, when you know things won’t ever be the same, when you feel insecure and yet put up a face that seems indifferent to the occurrences in the world, when you feel close to someone, but you know they don’t care for you the way you do, when your expectations come crashing down and are broken into a thousand pieces, when your heart genuinely feels for someone and the same individual mocks at them, when you want to cry your heart out but there seems to be no shoulder to support you, when you are jubilant, yet there’s nobody to double your happiness, when you are standing between a thousand people but still have no one to call your own, when circumstances seem to take control over your destiny’s pathway and you have no choice but to bow down to them, when you feel you are nothing but worthless, when you think that you may never attain a goal you have always aspired to reach……. when the claws of despair seem to be pulling you down, to a place from where you may never come back., when tears can’t seem to stop… when a setback sends you into a terrible dilemma……. when certain words by a foe/friend distress you so much that you can’t think of anything else…….. when criticism, complaints and condemn are at their peak?
Under all these situations that surface in an individual’s life, I listen to my heart’s voice, a voice which speaks only the truth. The mind is put to rest, so that the heart may take over. A voice which seems divine, serene and inspiring when you are in solitude and makes you cognizant and contented of what you possess, the things another may crave for but never gain. It tells you to rise above the petite, trivial issues of life and enable yourself to look at the higher and better opportunities and things that you are bound to get, only if you remove the darkness of despair. Your solitude shall answer all your questions, clear all your doubts, instil a sense of pride, motivate you to an extent which you may never have realized and most importantly, will bring back your peace of mind and calm that may have been vanishing and leading you to a world which is not a very lovely place to be.
So, trust yourself, listen to that inner voice and feel free from the cares and worries of the surrounding world and rise to a level where not everybody can go…
very well written…!!

A man whose taken ads in Hindi to a higher level.
The Indian who did India proud at the Cannes.
Its time we started taking pride in genuine Indian talents.
it really is sad how the best of our talents eventually move out of our country in search of the recognition they actually deserve but are not awarded…
maam he even wrote a song on the 26/11!!!!!!!!!!and maam sorry to say but you forgot to mention rang de basanti!!!!:)
825 runs in 1 day!!!! Oh my God!!! ODI cricket is reaching levels that cricketers of even the present generation could not have imagined. A lot is said about the “Revival of ODI cricket” and “Cricket Being the winner” but I thoroughly disagree.
Forget analysts, even true cricket lovers love battles between bat and ball, let it be the legendary battle between Sachin Tendulkar or a more recent on between Ishant Sharma and Ricky Ponting, such battles stay glued in our minds forever.
Making pitches flatter than the Indian national Highways sure can produce a lot of runs but leaves a burning desire amongst the viewers, ask yourself, after the Rajkot ODI, there would definitely be something inside you which would want more runs to be scored , more boundaries and sixes to be hit. Such stuff is what has led to the decline of Test match cricket and ODI cricket.
Cricket was termed as ‘A Gentleman’s game’, now it is only a ‘man’s’ game and soon it will become a monster’s game wherein there will be gigantic Khali like batsmen with bats of steel swinging wildly to balls bowled by timid unconfident bowlers….
Comments or Criticism welcome…..
why do you have to take things so personally to your male ego? duh! and as per you, this space has been provided to express one’s perceptions’ right? so i gave mine! simple!
The skipper of the Indian Cricket team, MSD, has been banned from playing the next two ODI’s against Srilanka due to slow over rate in Nagpur’s match on the 18th.
Lack of presence of this dynamic person on the playing field will sure have an effect on the team’s performance but how drastic will it be??
Express ur thoughts keeping in mind that MSD is No. 1 in ODI rankings, highest run getter in ODI’s in 2009 as well as 2008, has also scored 179 runs in his past 2 ODI’s and 4 centuries in First Class Crickett in the last 1 month. Also nate that Yuvraj is set to make a come back after his injury and Sehwag will be leading the side…
Well, its 3:30AM right now and I am still doing some research for my projects!! These projects are sickening. As such we(11th) are already hands full with the exhaustive course prescribed by the cbse and now we are expected to do these boring, irrelevant and time consuming projects for mere 5% marks! That too is at times a group project…a complete waste of time. Will there ever be an end to our misery (read projects
)?
II a calendar year where there were many fine feats and admirable achievements, Virender Sehwag’s remarkable performance in scoring 284 off 79 overs in a Test match day stands out like a peaceful protest. The way he mercilessly flayed the Sri Lankan attack at the Brabourne Stadium is further proof that he’s the greatest destroyer since the U-boat.
In an era where over rates are slowing perceptibly, he’s scoring quicker than ever. At a time when batsmen like Sanath Jayasuriya and Jonathan Trott enact more rituals than a religious cult, Sehwag just faces up, taps his bat a couple of times and proceeds to lash the ball to all parts. Where other batsmen rely on visualising techniques, he prefers the tried and tested method of “see the ball, hit the ball”.
Sehwag has often said he doesn’t think too much when he’s batting. A wise man. After years of speculation about what, apart from his enormous skill, made Sir Donald Bradman so great, I’ve come to the conclusion that a crucial attribute was his ability to bat with an uncluttered mind. That’s not all Sehwag has in common with Bradman. They are the only batsmen to surpass 290 three times in Test cricket. They also comfortably have the best strike rate among the high scorers of their generation. This leads to an interesting thought on batsmanship: should greater consideration be given to stroke production rather than technique in moulding young batsmen? After all, efficient run-scoring is not just a statistical exercise, it’s the first rung on the climb to victory.
To add further weight to that argument: despite Sehwag’s carefree approach, it’s amazing how many of his notable achievements surpass those of opening batsmen renowned for their technique. As an opener, Sehwag has a higher average than Sunil Gavaskar. And 75% of Sehwag’s centuries exceed 150, while Sir Leonard Hutton only achieved that landmark around 50% of the time. This is even more remarkable when you realise there was a time during John Wright’s term as Indian coach that Sehwag was criticised for throwing his wicket away once he had got a start. I asked what his response was when the coach eventually felt the need to admonish Sehwag and Wright said: “Viru just shrugged his shoulders as if to say, ‘Watch my next innings’”.
There can be no argument that Bradman had the better technique, which speaks volumes for Sehwag standing by the conviction he revealed to Wright in his early days. This is an area where a coach can’t help a young player; he’s either born with Sehwag’s confidence in his own ability or he’s like the bulk of international batsmen and has moments of doubt. When comparing Sehwag to his own generation, it’s the strike-rate column that shows his true worth to the team.
He exceeds such renowned new-ball clatterers as Matthew Hayden and Chris Gayle by more than 20 runs per 100 balls. Incredibly, he is 16 runs per 100 balls ahead of the eternally belligerent Jayasuriya. To score at 81 runs per 100 balls while opening the batting in Test cricket is quite remarkable, even in an era where the standard of fast bowling is a little down on the previous decade.
There’s another amazing aspect to Sehwag’s Test-match success. In Twenty20 cricket there are a number of openers who are within a faint edge of Sehwag’s strike-rate. This suggests there are openers who can score quickly for a short period but that only Sehwag can prolong a hectic run-rate throughout a long innings, highlighting his amazing confidence in his own ability and the incredible strength of his uncluttered mind.
To those who attribute much of Sehwag’s success to scoring heavily on flat Indian pitches, there’s evidence to the contrary. He averages 50.48 away from India as an opener and has scored seven of his 16 hundreds on foreign soil. His 195 at the MCG in 2003-04 is one of the finest examples of an opener taking on the opposing bowlers on the opening day with gusto and audacious strokeplay.
Nevertheless, even that tearaway Sehwag innings pales into insignificance when compared with his outstanding achievement of 2009 at the Brabourne Stadium…
Annual day 2009-2010

There were different kinds of dances such as the YALI dance, Chiki Chiki Dum etc. there was a fashion show as well with a small skit on cartoons. The fashion show had around 100 students. In all I’d say, there were around 500 students in the Annual Day. The programme was started by lighting of the lamp by our principal and the Chief Guest. All in all, I completely enjoyed the show.
Ruchika molestation case
According to me, the system still fails to protect women from molestation and domestic violence.
Ruchika, a fourteen year old girl was molested by the then DCP still hasn’t got the justice she should have received 19 years back. According to Ruchika’s friend, she didn’t confess any of this to her parents as she feared that DCP Rathore would harass them. Soon after this incident, Ruchika’s mother passed away and there occurred a financial crisis in the family. Now the current controversy regarding this issue is what action should be taken against the DCP. I think he should be tortured to death. How long should families like Ruchika’s await justice?

3 idiots – whose idea was it anyway?
In a recent spat between renowned Indian writer Chetan Bhagat and director Rajkumar Hirani, the maker of the phenomenal success “3 idiots”. The author claimed the script of the film to be showing a masked similarity with his book, “Five point someone”. The director vehemently denies this fact by stating that the storyline is an original creation of writer Abhijat Joshi and the similarities were purely coincidental. The similarities between the book and the film as stated by Chetn Bhagat, the massive pressures at institutions for pursuing professional courses, suicide attempts by students who are unable to handle the pressure, the protagonist falling in love with the principal’s daughter, procuring of the examination paper’s from the teacher’s office, the keys of which were given by the principal’s daughter and so on…
The debate continues as Chetan Bhagat claims his due credit while the directors deny any intentional similarities.
The first half of the movie is increasingly similar to 5 Point Someone, so Chetan Bhagat should get his due, but, if he was shown the script earlier, paid the amount of money he should have been paid, then he has no right cribbing and complaining!!
Soooo sorry for such a diplomatic reply, but I really can’t do anything about it I love Raj Kumar Hirani’s films and also really like Bhagat’s books!!!!
i agree wid you completely Rishul. Ideas sell no doubt, but it ws completely the brilliance of Hirani that made the public go crazy!!!
Joy of Giving
We as humans are never satisfied with what we have. We always wish for more. Our wants and needs not only fluctuate but also continue to increase from time to time.
But have we ever put ourselves out of the picture and concentrated on some one else’s happiness??
When we do something nice for somebody, when we give them what they want, the ‘JOY’ to see a simple smile on their face because of what we did is just inexpressible.
We shouldn’t always consider our happiness but also other’s sometimes. We must always extend a helping hand. Only then will we experience the unusual ‘Joy OF Giving’!!
Success in Today’s World
If you have excellence in something success will automatically come to you. This is very well shown in the recent bollywood release ‘3 idiots’. Success comes to you when you have good grades. That’s right!! But this doesn’t refer to jobs depending to their marks not on their creativity and thinking. Our education system should realize that the new generation is highly capable of thinking and bringing out new ideas. Rote learining will never help us in our future life. Experience and practical knowledge helps in real life. Students themselves need to understand that knowledge imparted to them should be first understood, and then used. There is a difference between well educated and well trained. A well educated person achieves more in life.
BOY! NOW this looks like a blogging site! yay to us kungfupandey

THE SKY IS FALLING
the sky is falling..Sheldon’s latest venture that his millions of fans were waiting for, lives up to their expectations. It is a book, which has all the elements to grasp one’s attention-power , money ,greed , lust and corruption. This book has a very powerful female character Dana Evans, a popular T V anchor.
this is about a series of mysterious murders, which are made to seem like an accident. Dana is certain to find out what’s behind it all. America’s most respected and reputed family is completely destroyed. There is not a single survivor of the Winthrop family. First Taylor Winthrop and his wife Madeline perish a terrible fire. Then their elder son Paul’s car skids off the road and he dies in the terrible accident in France. The next disaster is that of their daughter Julie, a champion skier who dies in a tragic skiing accident just six weeks after her brother’s death. The next violent death is of their youngest son Gary who was shot and killed by burglars who were after valuable paintings, which were under his possession.
All of Dana ‘s investigative instincts tell her that all the murders are linked and she travels all over the world to prove it. But the closer she comes to uncovering the truth the more she realises that her life is in a jeopardy. Now the hunter becomes the hunted. “Appearances can be very deceptive” this is a fact that is highlighted in this book.
